About Me

Some of my earliest memories are rooted in the wide-open landscapes and incredible wildlife of Southern Africa. Growing up there is where my love of nature began. Raised in a creative home by a mother who was both a painter and weaver, I was surrounded by art, colour and creativity from an early age. Those experiences shaped the way I see the world around me and continue to influence the way I create today.

Now living in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, my work begins long before I pick up a piece of charcoal or a paintbrush.

It begins with noticing.

I often find myself drawn to the smallest things—the way an animal holds itself, a change in expression, the direction of its gaze, or the way light falls across its face. These quiet observations often reveal far more than we notice at first glance, and they are what I am continually drawn to in my work.

My charcoal drawings grow from a desire to reveal atmosphere, presence and individuality. I love working with charcoal because removing the distraction of colour allows me to concentrate on the things that matter most to me—the quiet expression in an animal's eyes, a subtle change in posture, and the delicate play of light and shadow that makes each creature entirely unique.

My illustrations explore another side of nature. Through colour and visual storytelling, they celebrate relationships between animals, sharing moments of kindness, humour and connection. They are created with the hope of encouraging curiosity and nurturing a lasting love of wildlife in children and adults alike.

I believe that when we truly notice nature, we begin to value it more deeply.

Whether you are discovering one of my charcoal drawings or my illustrations, I hope my work offers you a special moment.

It is an invitation to slow down, look a little closer, and perhaps notice something you haven't seen before.
