The Journey

African elephants have always held a special place in my heart. Their sheer size and presence seem to reach something deep within me that I find difficult to explain — a feeling that is comforting and reassuring, yet mysterious at the same time.

I am drawn to their quiet confidence: their careful steps, their usual silence and their incredible family bonds. Now, as a mother myself, I find the way elephants nurture and protect their young especially moving.

There is another meaning within The Journey for me too. My faith in God is an important part of how I see the world, and the light in this drawing reminds me to keep looking for the light and following the path ahead, even when I cannot see where it leads.

Sometimes the journey is simply about trusting enough to take the next step.
